How to use Heel Impact Tester

Heel Impact Tester is used to determine resistance of sole to impact load. When test, each time increase impact energy until heal break / rupture and read impact index.

sample preparation:

Take 3 heels of the same size for the same type and draw a marking line on the back of the heel 6mm from the heel heel tip with a steel ruler.

1. heel bottom up, heel inside down fixed on the tray.Adjust the impact hammer so that it is right on the mark line and then lock the pallet.

2. Lower the impact hammer so that the impact hammer is at the heel mark line at the lowest position, and then lock the tray.

3. Raise the impact hammer to the position of 0.5 joule energy and release it freely. When the impact hammer hits the standard line of the heel accurately, hold the swing arm of the impact hammer in the rebound process to prevent the second impact.

4. Repeat article 3. and increase the energy by 0.5 joules for each shock until it breaks, bends, or shocks to 19 joules.

Test results

1. Record the impact times, impact energy and failure type of each test heel failure.

2. There is no bending crack when the impact test reaches 19.0 joule energy.

3. After testing the heel for a certain number of times, if it is found to be broken or damaged at the impact of the test shoe, it will be deemed invalid.Since the hammer ACTS as a chisel in the process of repeated impact, a reasonable explanation should be noted in the report.
